Let it be, Love

Evening thoughts, looking around~~~~

Tell me. Who’s opinion matters? 

Is it yours.  Is it mine. 

You would probably just as soon 

Cut the ties or bind me, 

Sacrifice or set me free, 

All based upon 

the wind of another opinion 

blowing across the land of your 

 invisible, shifting lines.

And I probably would too..

If it weren’t for Grace 

Why don’t we just let each other be  

And let it be, in love?

 Now morning thoughts, looking up, looking in ~~~ 

What do I choose today?

Do I choose to go with the flow, 

   to be concerned with what people say,

    to every little thing that could, lead me away? 

From what You have for us here-

on this new day? 

I don’t want to continue, to keep 

missing

  what Your Love brings,

   Because I’m caught up with other things. 

Right here,

Now 

Let me breathe it in,

This Love.

Let it wash away, wash over,

my fears 

  my worries,

and concerns. 

Let it melt away my need, 

for making peace,

And instead 

Find it in You.

Lord You are my hope,

 my light,

my song, and

The truth where I belong. 

The truth that I long for. 

Just to hear Your footsteps 

as they come close,

As you come near.

As you lean in, 

just to

Overshadow my worries

Overshadow my fears. 

and replace it all,

with Your Love,

Replace it with your truth. 

To replace it with all of You.

To hide me in your Love.  

You have an answer 

for my every single need.

And it is 

Found in You.

You lead me beside many quiet waters 

You know how to make quiet waters 

come from,

Quiet waters be,

 In me. 

Because you embrace, 

You abide,

You inherit, 

all that there is,  of me.

So let me be. 

Let it be.

Let it set me free 

From what is not 

meant 

For me.
